Fitness Zone Policies &
Procedures
Eligibility & Membership Fees
·
There is a one
time enrollment fee of $69 for
all new members.
·
Monthly rates are
$35, for children between the
ages of 13 – 14 joining with
their parents will be
charges $15 per month.
·
Membership fees
are non-refundable.
·
Individuals who
allow anyone to use their access
card will receive an automatic
suspension from the facility.
Application
·
Those who are
interested in joining the
fitness center must read the
policies & procedures of the
membership application; complete
the
membership agreement and
liability waiver.
·
Memberships may
be purchased Monday-Thursday
10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and Friday
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Access
·
Members will
receive an access card the will
be activated for the months they
have paid.
·
Sharing the your
access card will lead to
suspension of your gym access.
·
The Fitness Zone
reserves the right to suspend
membership of any member.
Emergencies
·
In the event of
an emergency within the Fitness
Center, notify a staff member
immediately, and follow the
staff member's instructions.
·
If you have an
injury or adverse reaction to
exercise, please alert the staff
so they may contact emergency
services to assist you. If no
staff is available, dial 911 for
emergency. Staff are required
to call 911 in case of any
emergency.
Member Safety
·
If a member is
involved in a medical incident
which hinders their ability to
work out safely, that member's
gym privileges may be suspended
until the member provides a
completed medical clearance form
their physician.
·
Any health
information collected by staff
will be treated as confidential
and will be kept private to the
extent the law allows.
Equipment Orientation Policy
·
Participation in
orientation sessions are
strongly recommended and will
review proper equipment setup
and operation as well as
techniques members can use to
have a safe workout. Sessions
will be offered on a regular
basis at no additional cost. See
staff to sign up for an
orientation session.
Equipment
Usage
·
We recommend
lifting with a partner whose
strength is similar to yours.
If a partner is not available,
do not lift weights over or
above the body.
·
We recommend
using the safety clip located on
the left of all treadmill
consoles.
·
Share equipment
and allow others to use your
machine when doing multiple
sets.
·
DO NOT DROP
WEIGHTS. DO NOT ALLOW MACHINE
PLATES TO SLAM DOWN.
·
Please report
equipment failures to the staff
on duty.
·
Re-rack all
weights/plates to their
designated storage areas.
·
There is a 30
minute time limit on individual
cardiovascular machines during
busy times.
·
Members must wipe
cardio machines and weight
machine seats/benches when done
with. This will prolong the life
of the equipment and prevent
infections.
Dress Code
·
Athletic shoes
must be worn at all times.
·
No earrings
larger than a quarter may be
worn.
·
Necklaces must
remain underneath your t-shirt.
·
Sandals, flip
flops, boots, black-soled shoes,
jeans, and any pants with
buttons or hardware
(zippers/rivets) are prohibited.
Member Conduct
·
No gum chewing,
food, or drinks (except water in
closed, plastic containers) is
allowed.
·
Cell Phone use in
not allowed in the facility
while working out.
·
No smoking,
drugs, or alcohol are permitted
and members may not use
equipment while under their
influence.
·
Loud and/or
abusive language is not
permitted.
Locker Room Policy
·
We recommend
using a lock to prevent theft.
·
All belongings
must be placed in a locker; no
personal items may be left in
the exercise areas or held by
staff.
·
Any items left in
the showers will be thrown out
at the end of the day.
